Hospitality Skills Certification Training
Long a pillar of the Asheville area economy, the hospitality industry offers numerous possibilities for long-term career success and is one of the nation's fastest growing sectors. Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College, in partnership with Goodwill Industries of Western North Carolina, is proud to offer a ten week hospitality skills certification course that prepares you for a variety of jobs including:
- Front Desk
- Reservations
- Maintenance
- Housekeeping
- Guest Services
- Banquets
- Dining & Room Service
- And more
In addition to course materials that were developed by the American Hotel &' Lodging Association, the curriculum for the hospitality skills certification course will also include: on-site instruction with area hospitality employers, including Biltmore; the opportunity to select from a variety of job shadowing opportunities with Biltmore, Biltmore Farms Hotels, and/or the Asheville Renaissance Hotel; interview coaching and resume-building assistance; and priority interviewing with participating employers upon completion of all course requirements.
