Public relations requests that interested media contact us at least two weeks in advance of visits to Biltmore, when possible, so necessary arrangements can be made ahead of time.

Please note that complimentary passes are issued to media working on assignment only and cannot be extended to media on leisure visits.

The following guidelines are intended to let your crew know what to expect while at Biltmore. These rules have been established to protect the collection as well as to provide you with our services most efficiently. While we recognize that they may somewhat limit your flexibility, our aim is to accommodate you as best we can. A Biltmore employee will accompany you on property and is ready to assist you and your crew. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. If you have any questions, please call Andy Pearce at 828-225-6798.

  • When you arrive you will be given a media pass that we ask that you wear to better help our employees identify you.
  • Food, drinks, gum, or tobacco products are not permitted in Biltmore House.
  • No one is allowed behind the ropes or in "nonpublic" areas of Biltmore House unless accompanied by a Biltmore staff member. No exceptions will be made to this rule.
  • Many objects in the collection are fragile. For this reason, we ask that you do not touch, sit, lean, or stand on any of the furnishings without prior approval and assistance from Biltmore staff. Please do not walk on the carpets.
  • Biltmore employees are trained on the proper method for handling objects in the collection. Please do not handle any objects or move any furniture. If you need something moved, please ask and an authorized Biltmore employee will be happy to accommodate you.
  • For live broadcasts, please submit your electrical needs to Andy Pearce at least one week in advance of the shoot date.
  • All light stands must have plastic or rubber tips and should be sandbagged.
  • Protective mats must be placed under all equipment and cases that could damage floors or furniture.
