Guidelines for Monetary Donation Inquiries
Organizations Eligible for Donations
The Biltmore Company is proud to consider donation requests that will support environmental issues facing our region. By focusing our planned giving in one specific direction, we can better support our community and leverage our efforts to improve quality of life in the mountains. In addition to our interest in the environment, we also support the United Way, Eblen Charities, and have established a scholarship fund at The Community Foundation of Western North Carolina. At this time, we are unable to consider requests that are not related to our primary areas of focus.
In addition, please note that all organizations requesting donations must have tax-exempt status (e.g., 501c3).
All Submissions Required in Writing
All requests for support must be submitted in writing to The Biltmore Company on your organization's letterhead.
Request Requirements
Describe the specific use (e.g., particular event, special project) for the donation. Biltmore does not wish to donate to "operational" or "general" funds.
Indicate what portion of the proceeds will benefit local/regional needs.
Indicate how Biltmore will be recognized for the donation.
What are the measurable results from this donation (anticipated and realized)?
Allow a Minimum of Four Weeks to Process Requests
All eligible requests will be reviewed by the Biltmore Contributions Committee. If the request is granted, the donation will be made to the recipient through The Community Foundation of Western North Carolina.
